This week’s Azura Credit Union Athletes of the Week are Washburn Rural sophomore swimmer Dagen Clouse and Seaman senior basketball player Chloe Carter.

Clouse helped Washburn Rural dethrone Seaman as the city boys swimming champions last week. He submitted first-place swims in the 50 and 100 freestyle events and also took part in meet-winning efforts as part of the 200 medley relay and the 400 freestyle relay teams. We spoke to Dagen about reclaiming the city championship, what he enjoys about swimming, his goals for the season, and more.

Carter has been on fire of late for a Seaman team that last weekend won the Top City Classic, defeating Maize in the championship game. She had a stretch of four straight games with 20+ points scored. A three-year letterwinner for the Lady Vikes, Carter will attend Washburn and play basketball. We spoke to Chloe about the tournament victory, choosing Washburn, how she’s grown as a player, and more.
