Azura Credit Union Athletes of the Week – Week of 2/24/20

This week’s Azura Credit Union Athletes of the Week are Seaman junior bowler Sturgis Streeter and Seaman sophomore bowler Makenzie Millard.

Streeter led the way for the Centennial League championship-winning Vikings last Thursday, bowling a 665 series to take the individual crown just ahead of teammate Trent Turkin. The league title continued a strong season for Streeter, who has bowled a season-high series of 812 and has a season average of 212. We spoke to Sturgis about winning the league, his other sporting passion (auto racing), and more.

Millard won the Centennial League girls title last week, rolling a 650 series to help Seaman to a third place finish as a team. It was Millard’s best performance of the season and included three games of a 200+ score. Her 194 season average is tops on the team. We spoke to Makenzie about her individual championship, how she focuses to perform her best, and more.
