Powell is the leading scorer for a Highland Park team that has already quadrupled their win total from last season, going 12-3 and sitting half a game back of the Centennial League lead. The 6’7″ junior averaged over 20 points per game at the Topeka Invitational Tournament in helping his team to a third-place finish and had 21 points in last Friday’s win over Topeka West. We spoke to CJ about getting to play at home, the first time he dunked, his aspirations as a player, and more.
