Dariauna Carter began her season by scoring 16 points in Highland Park’s 66-16 rout of KC Washington. She was a first-team All-City performer as a sophomore for the Lady Scots, but suffered a knee injury in the summer of 2018 that cost her the entire 2018-19 season. Now back on the floor, she aims to return to form and be a leader for a young and inexperienced Highland Park team this season. We spoke to Dariauna about rehabbing her injury, what motivated her to return, playing for a new coach, and more.
