This week’s Azura Credit Union Athlete of the Week is Washburn Rural senior soccer player Kevin Monge.
Monge’s pair of goals in last week’s 3-2 win over Seaman lifted the Junior Blues to their astonishing 25th consecutive Centennial League championship. He has tallied 12 goals and seven assists as the Junior Blues have accumulated a 12-3 record heading into the final week of the regular season. We spoke to Kevin about the team’s strengths, continuing their league championship streak, his favorite professional soccer player, and more.
