For the second straight year, Topeka High took home the team title at the Melvin Douglas Invitational, hosted by Highland Park. Four Trojans took home first-place medals as the Trojans accumulated 140 points as a team, 17 more than Shawnee Mission South. 106-pounder Colson McIntyre, 132-pounder Will Heavner, 152-pounder Matthew Cutshall and 182-pounder Elijah Barron were individual champs for Topeka High. Topeka West placed seventh as a team, and Highland Park placed tenth, led by 120-pound event champ Javier Osorio.

Seaman wrestled on Friday and Saturday in dual action at the Colby Eagle Invitational and went 4-3 as a team to place sixth overall. The Vikings beat Liberal, Hinkley (CO), Hutchinson, and Phillipsburg, while falling to Monarch (CO), Colby, and Wray (CO). Logan Willard (145 pounds) and Dillon Williams (160 pounds) remained unbeaten on the season after their performances in Colby.

Shawnee Heights competed at the Manhattan Duals and went 4-1 on the day. They beat the Manhattan JV and Paola handily before falling to Manhattan. The Thunderbirds rebounded to beat Smith Center and Abilene in their final two duals of the day. Brock Ferguson was 5-0 at 113 pounds. Caden Walker was 4-0 at 145 pounds, as was Preston Hartman at 152.

Eight Washburn Rural Junior Blues stood atop the podium at the end of the Shawnee Mission Northwest Cougar Invitational, allowing them to dominate the event as a team. Individual champs for the Junior Blues were Jacob Tangpricha (106 pounds), Bishop Murray (113), Bowan Murray (132), Nick Vincent (138), Johnathon Vincent (145), Austin Fager (152), Gavin Carter (195), and David Huckstep (285).
