BOYS BASKETBALL
Shawnee Heights got their revenge for a season-opening home loss, travelling to De Soto and topping the Wildcats 58-44 to move to 6-5 on the season.
Topeka High pulled out a narrow victory at Junction City, 62-59, to improve their record to 7-4.
GIRLS BASKETBALL – TOURNAMENTS
The Hayden Lady Wildcats dropped their first-round game at the Wellsville Top Gun tournament, losing to Baldwin 52-50.
WRESTLING
Seaman hosted a quad that included Topeka High, Basehor-Linwood and Junction City. The Vikings went 3-0 in dual action, defeating Basehor-Linwood 57-24, Junction City 46-27, and Topeka High 54-23.
BOYS SWIMMING
Washburn Rural had the best showing of local teams at the Topeka High Invitational, placing fourth out of 13 teams. Seaman placed fifth, Topeka High ninth, and Hayden 13th. Seaman’s Aidan Florence took first place in the 500 freestyle. Full results are available here.
BOWLING
Hayden’s girls and boys were victorious in a triangular at West Ridge Lanes, with Highland Park’s boys and girls finishing second.
Shawnee Heights’s girls took first place in a quad at Gage Bowl with Brylee Prockish earning another first-place individual honor.
