Topeka West’s boys swept team and individual first place honors at the Tonganoxie Invitational. Freshman Lenny Njoroge crossed the finish line first, with teammate Luke Phelps-Roper right behind and Seth Phelps placing eighth.

The Charger girls placed fourth as a team, with Anna Phelps (sixth) and Aaliyah Bueno (eighth) finishing as medalists.
Washburn Rural hosted an invitational at Kossover. The Junior Blues doubles team of Hailey Robinett and Grace Bradbury took first place on the day, taking a 6-0, 6-2 win over a tandem from Emporia in the final round match.
Hayden competed at the Spring Hill quad. St. James Academy won the event and their players did not lose a single match.
In Centennial League action last night, Washburn Rural slowed down a hot Emporia squad:

Jorge Lopez-Medina potted a hat trick and Isaiah Huckins, Abel Lopez, Sergio Ramirez and Aiden Morrison also scored as Topeka High routed Junction City 7-0. Lopez added two assists, and Ethan Payne and Jack Murphy also assisted on Trojan goals.
They needed extra time to do it, but Seaman scored a big league win with a 1-0 triumph over Manhattan.
In United Kansas Conference play, Shawnee Heights exploded for four goals in the second half in a 5-0 shutout win at Leavenworth.
Hayden dropped a 2-0 decision at home to Tonganoxie.
In a marquee Centennial League match, Seaman took on Washburn Rural in a best-of-five dual. The battle lived up to the billing, as the 5A #9 Lady Vikes took a two-set lead before the second ranked team in 6A stormed back for a five-set victory, 21-25, 23-25, 25-15, 25-21, 15-13. The win moves Rural to 11-1 while Seaman drops to 11-6.

Topeka High and Topeka West headed out to Manhattan for a quad that involved the host Indians and Concordia. The Trojans and Chargers both lost to Concordia and to Manhattan, with West taking down Topeka High in their matchup.
